Canungra Valley Vineyards

Lamington National Park Road, Canungra 4275

Cellar Door open daily 10am to 4pm including Christmas Day, Restaurant open daily for Devonshire teas, with full menu on Sundays. Canungra Valley Vineyards is owned and operated by the O'Reilly family. The homestead, Killowen, was built in Warwick in 1858, and moved to its current site in 1989. The boutique vineyard was established in front of the sweeping verandahs in 1998. The vines were planted by over a hundred and fifty locals, many of whom then helped harvest the first crop in March 2000.

Two varieties of grapes are currently planted at the vineyard. Semillon, a white grape that produces a dry, aromatic wine and Chambourcin. The Chambourcin is a French hybrid grape very suited to growing in the Gold Coast hinterland. It is a red grape known for its intense aromas and rich purple colour. The vineyard's first wine from Chambourcin, the Argyle Blanc de Noirs is a dry aromatic wine named after the intense blush pink Argyle diamonds from the Kimberley Ranges in Western Australia. The vineyards are a scenic 75-minute drive from Brisbane, via Beenleigh, or 50 minutes from the Gold Coast via Nerang. It is just along Lamington National Park Rd. The restaurant showcases many Australian bush foods, including wattle seed, riberry and Kakadu plums. An extensive menu is available Saturday and Sunday, with free live jazz every Sunday on the gazebo. Light lunches and Devonshire teas are available all week on the Verandah restaurant overlooking the vines, 9am to 5pm. Celebrate a passion for life at Canungra Valley Vineyards.
